I - CHILD TENNIS TOURNAMENT - TROCADERO CUP

The days 13th-14th and 15th of August, held at the Manolo Santana Racquets Club, the Children Tournament, Copa Trocadero, with the participation of eight of the best players in the category nationwide.

This tournament is an innovation in the activities of the Club, an initiative of Manolo Santana in the support and promotion of tennis base.

In order to make the tournament, has had the invaluable collaboration and sponsorship of Restaurante El Trocadero.

The amount of awards was very attractive to this category handing over € 4,000.00 between awards and sports equipment.

Champion, singles, Roberto Chacón (Manolo Santana Racquets Club), which in the final beats Juan Pablo Cañas (Cádiz) by 7/5- 6 / 3.

Champions-Roberto Chacon's doubles / Guzmán Palacios (Manolo Santana Racquets Club), earned by 6 / 3-7 / 5 Eduardo Camba / Juan Pablo Cañas. (Cantabria / Cadiz).

The tournament was a public success and acceptance of our subscribers and customers who supported the boys with their presence in the three-day tournament.

The awards ceremony was held at the restaurant El Trocadero, in the presence of the sponsor D. Dionisio Hdez. Gil, D. José Luis Hernández, Councillor of Tourism and D. Angel Mora, Councillor for Sports in Marbella.

Our thanks to the Trocadero Restaurant and the Municipality of Marbella.

Easter will be here very soon and as usual, Manolo Santana Racquets Club will be running our "Easter School”, where your children will learn and play their favorite sports while practicing tennis, paddle, and playing games.

We would like to say thank you to all our pupils who have been with us in the previous years and we hope you have had a positive and enriching experience.

Members’ children will have priority of joining the School and the deadline to confirm is 20 th March .

MARBELLA, EUROPEAN SPORTING TOWN 2009

MANOLO SANTANA TROPHY

On the 25th, 26th and 27th of April/08 at Manolo Santana Racquets Club, a tournament was held on behalf of the Youth and Sports Council of Marbella. The tournament was named “Marbella, European Sporting Town 2.009”.

With a total of 74 participants of different categories (up to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 14), and with Frank Cano as the umpire of the tournament, all the matches were strongly contested as is normal in tournaments of this kind.

Listed below are the winners of each category and their clubs. All players were given a diploma for taking part in the event.

The trophies were presented by Mr. Ángel Mora, Sports Councilor of Marbella, Mr. Manuel Santana, Director of the Club and Mr. Frank Cano, Umpire of the Tournament and the Club’s Tennis School Director.

There were a special trophy for the youngest player that went to the under 10, Oz Tushia (Manolo Santana Racquets Club).

1st Tournament Mix-in Padel 07

Our first padel mix-in tournament , was held on 30th November - 2nd December, with 15th couples taking part, in just one category.

With an emphasis on fun and enjoyment, all who participed, contributed to the succes of the tournament, which concluded, on sunday, with the presentation of the trophies, to the following couples:

Paddle Tournament – "Copa Mago"

Between the 21st and the 23rd of September 2007, we celebrated the Fifth Paddle Tournament “Copa Mago”, sponsored by Salvador Castillo (Mago).

The 26 couples were classified into two categories (Men and Women). The results were as follows:

Campeonato de Pádel – Verano 2007

Del 18 al 22 de Julio se celebró el Campeonato de Pádel Manolo Santana – Racquets Club – Torneo San Miguel, en el que participaron un total de 34 parejas.

Fiesta del 10º Aniversario

Como viene siendo habitual cada verano, el Club organiza su fiesta anual para sus abonados. Este año con motivo del 10º Aniversario, durante el día 14 de Julio, se organizaron actividades para los abonados como Clinics de Pádel y Tenis.

Por la tarde, disfrutando del clima y del entorno del Club, alrededor de la piscina de verano, los abonados pudieron disfrutar de una divertida velada nocturna, con buffet - cocktail y amenizada con música de actualidad.

Campeonato de MUS Manolo Santana – Racquets Club

Con motivo del 10º Aniversario del Club y aprovechando las vacaciones estivales de varios abonados, se celebró el día 15 de Agosto el CAMPEONATO DE MUS Manolo Santana – Racquets Club.

El día 15 de Agosto, después de una comida entre los participantes, se jugaron las semifinales y final. Después de divertidas y competidas partidas, el anfitrión del Club, Manolo Santana, formando pareja con José Gabriel García se alzó con el triunfo.

El patrocinador del Campeonato, Café Baqué, obsequio a los participantes con un lote de sus extraordinarios productos.

From the 25th to 27th of September the tennis school entry tests will be taking place. These will determine student's level so that they enter the correct group. This will be overseen by Francisco Cano, director of the school, supervised by Manolo Santana.
